Pretty sure most trucks with a utility bed are C20 or C30s...

Re: WTB C10 Utility Truck

I saw one in my area for sale last year. It had a utility work body on it. It was used for a sign painting business. It still had the factory hub caps on it. It was for sale last year and did not sell. the family parked it behind the house and its still sitting there. I will knock on the door this weekend and see if its still for sale. If so, I will message you.

I have a 65 shortbed Utility bed truck that is a 1/2 ton truck ordered by Bellsouth way back when . I was going to sell it but have been talked in to putting it back in line for restoration . Its a pretty solid truck to play with . Unfortunately I have a couple of trucks ahead of it .

Exclamation Re: WTB C10 Utility Truck

I have a 1969 c/20 on a complete 1999 c/30 drivetrain for sale its a flatbed now but I can easily find a utility bed for it.
Fuel Injected 454 with a 4l80e 97,000 on the motor transmission has less than 10k per previous owner Hydroboost Brakes.

It was actually quite common to see 1/2 tons with utility bed sides. They would start with a truck with a stepside bed, short or long bed and remove the fenders and install utility bedsides in their place. These were obviously cheaper than a full replacement utility bed but a drawback was they were not as heavily built/ sturdy I suppose this is why they were mostly seen on Half ton trucks. They were fine for lock smiths, appliance repair, Telephone companies, etc that didnt need a heavy built truck and bed. A few years ago i bought eight or ten pairs of 68-72 stepside fenders from a guy who worked for the local phone company. They had pulled them off of trucks to convert them and hung them in the rafters of a pole barn.

Re: WTB C10 Utility Truck

sambrutay

What can you tell me about the bed sides on your truck. How long and how tall are they? Do you know where I can find some the same or similar? Do they mount to the factory bed sides?

Thanks
Michael
