Re: 57 Truck build
Thanks! I seem to be moving an inch instead of a foot. Today I finished reassembling my rear diff and making my power steering lines. Tomorrow I’ll install the diff and tighten everything down. Up next is the exhaust mock up. Diy kit and mufflers are on hand.

Re: 57 Truck build
I know my posts have been a little boring but I finally feel like I accomplished something! The painted rear end is in and it’s a roller again. Next week I’ll start working on getting the exhaust cut and tacked together and hopefully on the the emergency brake set up. Any recommendations out there? I’m looking at the American shifter trans mount. Hadn’t really decided if I want another shifter sticking out of the floor board. Recommendations welcome.

Re: 57 Truck build
I went with the Sidewinder shifter (Art Carr Winters) for a few reasons. Firstly it's cable operated which is easier to hook up and makes positioning more flexible. Next it's available with neutral safety and reverse light switches which are way easier than messing with wiring at the trans. I plan to replace the knob with something a bit taller.

Re: 57 Truck build
Looking good. Nice to have it rolling again! I just looked into that American shifter E-brake kit... I like it.

Re: 57 Truck build
Started to get the exhaust together last week and ran out of time. Tomorrow I’m planning on finish welding, turn downs and hangers. I don’t think it’s to bad for the frat time doing it.
