installing the chrome divider strip on cab

I have got to drill the holes for the tabs that will hold the chrome divider strip between the top color and the body color. I need a little help as to what size holes and how far apart to drill them and how many I'll need.
And, do I drill them after body work and before paint?
Someone had a diagram that answered all my questions (well, almost all), but I can't find it.
And, while I'm on the subject of drilling holes for chrome. I have complete side chrome that has to be mounted and I'm a little leary of getting those holes in the right place and centered.
As, always, any and all advice and instructions is greatly appreciated....Thanks in advance!

Re: installing the chrome divider strip on cab

Maybe the cab back molding changed, but mine (1967) has little standoffs instead of holes drilled. Not certain how the standoffs are connected to my cab, but there is a little plastic clip that snaps and slides over the standoff, then the actual molding snaps over the clips. I can try and get a photo tomorrow (at work tonight). Maybe someone else will chime in in a little while.

Re: installing the chrome divider strip on cab

^ That right there is a ton easier than welding those mounts back on, like the factory did!
