New window regulator seized. Ideas?

Ok. So I just rebuilt everything in my doors (69 c10) and when I rolled my manual window all the way up for the first time it seized in place.

I thought maybe the new felts were bunched/torn or maybe one of those plastic rollers busted. No dice, I carefully pulled everything back out and it was all good visually. Pulled the regulator and sure enough it’s seized at the mechanism behind the crank handle.

Am I missing something obvious like a hidden release latch? Please say I am. 😬 I really just want to get these doors back together before it starts raining again.

Btw it’s brand new from Lmc. Bought them over a year ago and only now am I at a place where I can work on them.

Until I hear back from you amazing people, I’ll be busy seeing if I can get the drivers side buttoned up. Here’s crossing my fingers that this one will work.

From what you describe, I'm guessing there's a manufacturing defect.

Yeah, that’s what it looks like I gotta do. I was hoping to not need to deal with it since it’s over a year and it’s been installed. Ugh.

For now I threw the old one in to hold up the glass until we get this sorted out.

Thanks guys.

No idea. The plastic sleeve it came in is long gone. The driver’s side one works good though.
