Radiator Support bushings

Hey guys, I'm just doing some mock up on my '64, after rust repair to the cab, doors and fenders. Doors line up nice but the rad support seems to be sitting high and messing with fender/door gaps.

Wondering if this is the proper way the bushings go under the rad support? (I know they're old and gnarly but I figured since I didn't do the cab bushings things would go back into place how they were)

Re: Radiator Support bushings

those look good (BUT You may have the steel and rubber reversed) sounds like you need to shim the front cab mounts

Re: Radiator Support bushings

Okay thanks for clearing that up for me. Never considered shimming up the cab at the front. Would that also change how the rear of the cab lines up with the box?

Think it'd be harmful to remove the thick steel washers all together? That might bring the front down enough. .

Re: Radiator Support bushings

I'm pretty sure there should not be a thick washer on top of the frame bracket.

mine didn't have a washer sitting on top of the frame, it was just the bushing

Re: Radiator Support bushings

I'm gonna replace the cab mounts and see if that fixes this. They're 50 years old anyways.

Re: Radiator Support bushings

I have the brackets that have a thick rubber on them. Can I replace them with the bracket that doesn't have a rubber on it?
