Finally got a good clip of the new motor this morning while I was warming it up to go for a drive to cars and coffee event.

Man, you’ve really got me thinking about running Flowmasters again. Are yours 40 series? It looks like it from the pics back on page 1. How’s the drone?
I had them way back, but I don’t remember what the in cab sound was like running down the highway. And I was a lot younger then…

They are 40's. Drone isnt bad. The mufflers are under the bed to help with that instead of under the cab. The original Cherry Bombs that were on the truck were right under the cab and were miserable.

Re: 1968 C10 Project "The Twin"

Had a good weekend last weekend. Roads dried out and the sun came out so hit up a couple cars and coffee events and put some miles on the new engine and transmission.

Re: 1968 C10 Project "The Twin"

Spend the last 2 weekends getting the truck all shined up for the upcoming Salem Roadster Show at the state fairgrounds in 2 weeks. Got a dry day yesterday so got our show car out of the trailer and loaded up the C10 as it usually is raining on load in day.

Re: 1968 C10 Project "The Twin"

Well hauled the truck down to Roseburg, Oregon for their indoor show. They only give out 5 awards (Top 3, Best Bike, and Best Display) and the 68 came home with 1st place.

Interesting the award has your truck in its display on it. Cool what they can do these days.
And congrats, a well deserved win.

Neat short video someone took of the truck at the Salem Roadster Show a month ago.

Yeah its pretty neat they could do that. Looked like it was something the local high school did for the car clubs that put the show on.

Little late for Memorial Day, but a few weeks ago did a poker run to a air museum. Got to get this neat picture of the truck with a Blue Angles jet.

Thanks! Yeah I run around all over Portland/Vancouver, I try and make as many of the Oregon C10 meets as I can.

Evergreen, outside of the main building with the spruce goose.

Right on! I haven't been there in probably 10 years. If I see you at a show I'll say hi. If you're not at your truck I'll creep around it long enough for you to get suspicious and wander back over .

Re: 1968 C10 Project "The Twin"

Truck has been running great all summer so far, the 327 has seated in and running cooler and getting better mileage. the 5 speed swap has been well worth it. Few pics from the last cars and coffee I went to.
