My wood bed floor came in this morning from Brothers. I had to open it up and lay it in my other c-10. I'm really impressed with the quality. You can tell it was cut from the same batch because the patterns are pretty uniformed. No knots anywhere.

Thanks! The tailgate, rear tubs, glove box door, and ash tray still need to be painted. They are all body worked and just need to be sprayed. However, the paint booth was tied up with this the last few weeks.

Fortunately, the Mclaren left today so hopefully my dad will spray everything tomorrow. The tailgate script is already done in white too, so it's just lacking the blue.

I also ordered the side trim and a rear bumper last Friday so hopefully they will be in soon.

Looks good. Way better quality than I got. Mine had two burn spots where the sanding drum stopped. I'm amusing yours had none?

I haven't had a chance to inspect it real closely but I didn't see any. Sorry to hear that about yours.

Brief update on the truck. Started staining the wood floor today and hit a snag. We are wanting the wood to be gray to match the center of the wheels. Got the stain on and was very happy with it. After I put the marine grade polyurethane on it the gold color in the urenthane tinted the wood back to brown. Pretty disappointed. I went ahead and did all of it but I'll sand it tomorrow and try another coat of stain and a different clear polyurethane.

So we also got the mirrors installed and I'm super happy with how they look. I wanted a round mirror to mimick what is factory on a 68 but wasn't crazy about the long arm that is on the stock mirrors. Ended up ordering 67 Camaro mirrors. As a the owner of a 67 Camaro, I have to say these mirrors look better on a c10 then they do on a Camaro.

Got the wood sanded today. That was a lot of work. We stained it again and will get the clear on it tomorrow. I'll post some pics of it tomorrow after it's finished.

The wood floor debacle continues. It ended up getting a LOT darker than I wanted. Still have a couple more coats of sealer to put on then we will wax it. It looks nice, just wasn’t what I had planned. It actually looks better in person. I’d like to hear what people think, both good and bad. Thanks.

Okay, I appreciate the feedback on the wood. The dark color would have worked and I was fine with it, but it wasn't the look we were going for. So we sanded it back down for the third time and tried something different. This is without any Sealer on it. I think I like it. A lot! If you remember, we were wanting gray to tie in with the center of the wheels.

I like it. It looks good! If you really want a sealer or a clear, can you find and use a stain with a clear poly in it?

That's a good idea. I think we have a good one now that is clear enough. Might darken it a little but I'm okay with that.

My dad got the wood in a clear sealer today. Went ahead and sprayed everything on this time (both stain and sealer). We plan to sand it with 800 tomorrow, wax it, and call it finished. Been rather challenging but I am pleased.

We weren’t crazy about the gloss finish so I resanded it yesterday and sprayed a semi-gloss on it. Waited for it to cure and got a start on installing it today.

I thought this was a cool little touch. The revolver is our company logo.
