Re: "Made Bail"

Rustspot...sorry to ask questions but i have a 67 stepside that i want to lay frame and was told id have to modify the fenders (which you cleared up for me ,thanks). So was the rear end out of the s-10 the key due to width? And the stock rear end wouldnt work? If so, what was the year of s-10 rear end or width if you have that info?

I had the exact same question. I'm going to narrow my early ('69) rear to accomodate 20" x 10" wheels with 5.25 BS running 295/40's and I'm installing Porterbuilts dropmembers front and rear. Wondering what width I should go when narrowing so I can lay that sucker on the ground without interference from the fenders.
This truck looks incredible...made me want to stick with the stepside instead of swapping the fleet bed from another truck I have.

Re: "Made Bail"

Mmm, Very Sick. I both begin salivating and cry with utter happiness when I look at this truck!
I've got lots of boxes staring at me already, but I, like you, have questions, since I know bikes, not bagging trucks. We'll get there..

Re: "Made Bail"

hey rustspot got a question.... i know your frame is custom, but is it stock width and everything? i am wanting to run 22s with my stepside i have the 2wd s10 rear and everything its just a notched stock frame and i didnt know if the backspacing would be the same for my application

Re: "Made Bail"

rustspot (if u have the time) could you take three measurements for me. rear tire width, distance from outside rear tire edge to outside rear tire edge, and distance from inside rear tire edge to inside rear tire edge. Reason i need these measurements are i dont think my rear suspension setup is the same as your and i need to see if i can lay frame (with your rear end/wheel setup) without any binding/rubbing on the rear suspension components. Thanks again in advance if you are able to find the time.
