Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build

Very nice! I like the heavier duty carrier bearing as well. Maybe some of you guys can make a floating style. I have seen these in a much larger scale on some odd ball heavy semis. They have springs on the top and on the bottom to allow the carrier bearing to move if ever needed.

So far so good. It sprays nice, lays out like auto paint. I havent had it on the road yet so well see, but it seems tough.

Thanks

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build

cool just wondering, I painted a car with the rattle can non professional flat black and swore I would never use them again, It was very inconsistent and a pain to make look right then if you brushed up against it it would leave marks.

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build

I got the front end on and the motor dialed in, had to do some trimming on the fenders, still need to fab some round bar along the edge's. I started getting the bed ready also. Still need to finnish the plumbing on my air lines. here's some pics.

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build

Thanks guys. I will build a inner fender and support brace to the core support from the firewall. I want to shake it down a few hundred miles and nut & bolt it a few times first. Not to mention body and paint.

LOL too funny man... I was just knockin out rivets the other day, my loud azz compressor's going off every 10 minutes, air hammer's going, mixed in a little grinding and cut off wheel. Had the new neighbors across the street wondering what the hell was going on. They actually came over and were interested in what I was doin, so after talkin to them like I actually knew what I was doin , they were pretty cool about it.

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build

Got the accuair vu4 manifold mounted and plumbed and the avs-7 switch box wired in. Ran all 3/8 line with 3/8 rubber fuel hose anywhere it can come in contact with edges so it won't wear. That accuair valve is sweet, the easiest air system i have ever worked with. I also put the muffler kit on the valve exhaust, and it sounds cool when you dump it. Bed is on also, i need to pull it out for some pictures. I need to put the hood on and drive it over to the exhaust shop.
