Yeah, I placed a pan under there when I pulled the drive shaft, but one of the exhaust pipes got hung up on the motor mount and when I tilted it, the rest came gushing out. Made a trip to pick up some kitty litter.

Sorry, I don't. I'll try to get a better one next time I'm at the shop.

It's attached to the outside of the passenger side frame, under the bed between the rear wheel and the back of the cab.

Re: US Tom

Got a firewall patch kit from Porterbuilt. I'm (well, Kyle is) going to smooth the firewall and put a Vintage Air unit in to handle the HVAC duty.

And on to a job that is probably one of my favorites - cleaning up the firewall and frame.

Next, it goes back to Kyle's to get the patches installed and painted. I'm 50% certain I'm going to paint it satin black and not red.

Meanwhile, I need to get going on an engine for this thing.

Re: US Tom

Exactly right - junction block. With the Ride Tech pcm, compressors and line to the fuse panel, that's a lot of connections to manage.

Boy, I wish I could make it but it's darn near March already. Too much to do and too little time.

But I plan on going there anyway. See you there I hope?

Re: US Tom

I'll be there looking for new ideas! I was hoping to get a look at your ride tech, so i would have an idea how to run mine.

Re: US Tom

I picked up a 700R4 today. Keep in mind I haven't driven Tom any farther than on the trailer and back off. Twice. I have no idea if the th350 he came with is worth a hoot or not. To get it checked out and serviced would be a couple of bills, or I could throw a few more at it and roll the dice on a used 700R4.

What the heck? Hopefully I wind up with a working transmission and an overdrive gear.

Sure would be nice to cruise to Good-Guys Ft Worth on the 15th, but that's a pipe dream.

Yeah, I've read horror stories about that. I'll give Cox a call before I head out.

You want to use Dish net it can be portable in a pinch. Just in case you have to watch an OU game during a car show.

Soon. I have to get it back to Kyle's some time. He's going to do that part. You'll probably notice a lot more progress is made when it's over there.

Re: US Tom

Met Kyle this morning at the shop in Yukon to load up Tom for some cosmetic surgery. He's going to install the shave kit I got from Porter and paint the firewall.

May have him do a few other things while he's got it there.
