Bob, did any Top Kicks ever get a 2-Stroke Detroit?

As usual, my knowledge doesn't go much passed '76, lol.

Sadly no. The vast majority had Cat 3208's, and a few had Detroit 8.2T's. A very few had Cummins VT-225's, that was discussed here some years ago.

Nice looking MH's above by the way.
Did you see that one has the same paint as the one shown earlier? Must be original, which I questioned on the first one.

That and my memory of days past when I saw PIE trucks all over the roads

Not one of the newest Top Kicks, though. I always liked those soda and beer haulers, mini tractor-trailers

That's a good looking Chevy

Doesn't seem to make much sense from the get-go. What made them think going back to gas was a good idea?

2 short Chevy dump truck videos of my favorite mid 60's 10 wheelers, the M 80's. First video is a '65 , second is a '64. https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/v...?adppopup=true

Re: GM Semis

Nice!

The orange '64 looks exactly like the one in the Dan Blocker video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQlVg2tp2EU

I would like to see some more shots of the Southern Pacfic M80 and W6500 tractors.

Re: GM Semis

A lot of work went into that one. Reminds me have any of you ever seen a sleeper cab on a Steel Tilt? From what I can find out, they were not exactly 'factory', though they are shown in a few sales brochures. There were at least 2 companies converting them and they could be ordered from the dealer (truck was delivered to the body company after manufacture). Most were steel construction and looked very 'factory' but some were a fiberglass cap like the sleeper on a Ford C series.

Found a picture of the steel one:
