Here's my '77 Scottsdale. 4" Rancho lift and 35x12.5 Federal Couragias. I hauled it out of a rockpit in Prineville, OR a year ago and it WAS it pretty bad shape... To get to this point has been quite a process!

Thanks! I actually got the idea for the grill from a thread over on pirate4x4. It turned out better than I thought it would!

It's cool because the round light match the headlights, not on mine if I tried that, you got one up on me.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Mud man, how do you like those Carr super hoop steps? (If that is what they are) I'm thinking about getting some and I think I like the wider style step more.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

The steps are great, had some other simular ones on my 79 Bronco I had a few years ago and were just to narrow, as you mentioned the extra width is great, especially since I use the truck in the winter and wear my big boots.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Thanks on liking mine, yours has the stealthy look to it, like not sure what to expect, must be a small block having a 600cfm carb right, just guessing. Looks very usable the truck.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Haha I guess it is kinda stealthy! Somethin tells me it won't be sneakin up on anyone though haha

Yeah it's a 350. I'm trying to keep my eyes open for a good pre 87 block to build a 383 for it though. I'd love to drop a big block in but I just can't afford it.

But then there's other things Id like to do as well, like an air locker, np205 with twin sticks, and 4 wheel discs... But I guess time (and money) will hopefully supply those dreams haha

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Nothing wrong with a 350 but a 383 is a lot nicer, wish I had air lockers, have full time lockers so some difficulty is steering but oh well, at least I have them.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

I bought this truck with no wheels, axles in the dirt, no windows, no interior, it had been sitting for years.

I could see potential in it and, gave him four bills for it.

That was about 8 years ago.

Its been my work/play/hunting truck ever since. I drive it every day.

1985 Scottsdale 1/2 ton, 4" rough country lift, Built 350, Rebuilt 350 turbo trans, 33x10.5xR15 Firestone Destination MT, Trail Fire Flat Bed.

Nice to see a truck being used, yours is for sure, looks like you have it setup well.

Those g-d D*dge mirrors...every trailerless/camperless/loadless truck I see with those mirrors up make me pray for a narrow drive-through in their future.
