72 C20 Custom Deluxe with cab lights and a big block - and I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it: HIGHLANDER C pkg! Gotta see the SPID to confirm, but if I were a bettin' man... $4K. Unless the rust is more pervasive than depicted, seems like a decent deal. https://wenatchee.craigslist.org/cto...317261569.html

According to Comp Cams:

4x4 cam and lifter kits are built to take advantage of the latest cam technology to provide maximum performance and low-end torque for your vehicle. Whether your use is off-roading or towing, there is an Xtreme 4x4 for you.

Ah ha. Fancy marketing. I never heard of specific 4x4 cam but I imagine it helps the consumer get a cam that works for their application better than just picking a cam from a list of numbers. Pretty good Idea to market them like that. That shows how often I shop for cam shafts.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

Highlander only available as a 72 Custom Deluxe and with parchment interior trim - and it has tilt, a/c etc - the least expensive way to get that was as a pkg c. So, without seeing the SPID, it's not confirmed as it IS possible it just happens to have parchment door panels and all the pkg c included options by coincidence. Echo?

72 C20 Custom Deluxe Custom Camper $2K. Now this seems like a very good deal to me - engine dependent. Lack of the eng callout could mean it's a 307 or a base 6, but still... https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/...326580743.html

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

72 C20 Cheyenne Super $6500. Would want to see the SPID to confirm what it was born with and whether a YE9 super. Some Super indicators present, but not conclusive - missing stainless tailgate cover, but it may just be missing and that's all. I'd look closely at rust, drip rail in particular. But it is a socal truck (inland empire=DRY) and has been a CA truck its whole life perhaps - note the black plate Rockers, corners, fenders look pretty nice in the pics at least. Dent in passenger side fender. https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/...355768613.html

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

70 C20 Custom Camper. Before you get too excited about this white/dark gold/white Custom Camper with LOTS of options, (aux batt, rare sidemount tire carrier, aux tank, wc mirrors, too box, CST, etc) note that there is only one pic of the actual truck in the ad (below), the rest are just close-ups of engine/frame/bed, it's been repainted blue, and had a lot of work done. I'm sorry, and I know I probably shouldn't say it - but does anyone really think they can sell a truck for this price with NO pictures from either side or rear?? Sorry, this is common, pet peeve..., ok, I'm done. Anyway, sharing more for what it was than what it is, seller a bit mis-informed (i.e. "correct 400 small block..." - it might be great now, but you'll have to get more pics to confirm. Looks like lots has been redone on it, incl 700R4 swap and non-stock seat. $15.5k

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

I'm assuming this is the latest iteration of what used to be called an "RV cam", a common phrase used in the late 70s/early 80s. But who knows...

Clean straight bodied classic Chevy truck. As you can see from the pictures this thing looks great. Clean lifted 4x4 truck with the 350 cu in (5.7 L) V8 in it. You need to call and come see this truck.

Great condition, but the med green w/olive interior trim doesn't quite work for me. That's just me though - real nice truck and a big block too.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

Not a CL ad, and I stumbled across it by accident - and there's so much bogus crap on the net these days - ok, there's my disclaimer - if interested, just make sure to confirm all legit first..

72 C20 Cheyenne Custom Camper Longhorn 402(!) (for $1525 - THIS is why I think it may be bogus... has to be, right? If real, possible deal of the century)
http://classiccardb.com/chevrolet/15...-base-66l.html

I can't stand ads like this, too much truck for the asking price, but if it's your dream truck, worth at least investigating, with caution.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

Something strange about that whole site...

http://classiccardb.com/chevrolet/45...-base-41l.html
Price is listed at $ 1250...yet text says "my reserve is $6750"

Buyer beware everyone...if it looks too good to be true...it usually is...

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

Yeah, it gives me the willys. Maybe the low numbers are the current bid or something? but yeah, it's just kinda weird. Recommend see this IN PERSON before handing over any hard earned $. I'm gonna guess this site isn't quite on the up n up. I hesitated to post it, but I figured that with at least the heavy amount of caution I shared, well, we're all grown ups, and can avoid being stupid when buying a truck. But if it's for sale and it's real, it's a nice one!
