I've seen Snook's 'Mint 68' in person and it is fantastic!

Bennetth, Awesome truck! In fact, if you had 15x10 rims (at least on the rear), bumpers and wrbenson blue, you would have my dream truck ;-)

Wrbenson, what shade of blue is that? It looks very similar to Presidential or "Patriot" blue, but it's the exact shade that I'll be painting our '72. Super Sharp!!

250/TH350.

15x7 225/70/15 Front
15x8 255/70/15 Rear

ECE 4/6, 1.5" rear lowering blocks, and yes, it's C-notched.

Nice looking truck. Cant make it out, are those standard steel wheels? What caps did you put on?

Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides

Thanks for the compliments! When driving my truck I feel like I need a pamphlet to hand out, every gas station is a conversation. That's cool though. The truck was originally a long bed and was cut down by the previous owner. The stepside bed I painted to match and used a flat clear coat. I need to lower the front just about 1" and the stance will be just as I envision. The truck rides and drives great, it works real nice as a parts hauler for the shop.

Wheel Vintiques Smoothies
15x7 Front - 225/70/15
15x8 Rear - 255/70/15

Hubcaps are also Wheel Vintiques #1005-1

Will those wheels clear 4 wheel disk brakes?

That means you did something right! Nobody ever asks about a boring truck.

Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides

They're only a 15" wheel, so they certainly would not clear any type of modern large disc brake setup. But if you're just running an old school disc setup (like my ECE front discs) you shouldn't have any issues. The smoothie has significantly more clearance than the stock style early steel wheels.

Thanks. I'm just running your standard CPP 4 wheel disk set up, not a bb kit. I'm just trying to figure out what wheels I will be running once this all goes together.

Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides

Thanks. No drop at all as far as I know suspension is stock. I plan to keep it that way. I was raised with these trucks so I am going with a blend of old and new. mostly old... I am hoping to put a late model engine and tranny at some point. Right now it is 350/350. neither original. It is a factory A/C, power steering and power disc truck. IT will be my daily driver. I may try to post some pics today of the progress.

Here's a familiar face from around here...that is new to me. Very fun truck to drive-you don't go anywhere without meeting new people!
