I’ve been that second in line “deal sealer” many times. It’s disappointing, but on the other side, really helpful when you’re selling and that second guy calls.

A really nice 70 just sold on BAT for over $85,000 check it out red and white one no top. they just keep going up. They have passed up chevells and el Caminos. NO SCAMS, I DO NOT NEED HELP SELLING.

I don't think it came that way from the factory, dealer maybe. The Chalet was the square body era. I think it's price is too high but I may be wrong

I know exactly what you are saying. It is probably the best way to look at it to keep everything in perspective. It can definitely work to our advantage when we think about it. Thanks for the upbeat response. It is nice to know that someone knows what I am feeling like right now.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

Four Wheel Camper was established in 1972, so it is possible it was a dealer add-on pre-sale (but there was no such option or combo-platter from the the factory).

Kind of what I figured. Thanks for the info.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

Note the difference in the mating surfaces of the camper (pic 1) and another such Four Wheel Camper setup on a 72 (pic 2, from their website) - one has no aftermarket shorty top and one does (with a big rubber seal, AND with curtains! - and a Hickey hood to boot)

In hindsight, this is likely an original owner (or later) add-on. Although it's advertised incorrectly as a 70, it appears to me to be a 71 - in other words, not a 72... so the campers wouldn't have been available to dealers in the 71 MY.

I seen most of the same things, Its a 1971 Blazer, maybe a barn find project that the guy has been working. If anyone is interested, start with Spid, then check all the hard numbers, Title, VIN plate and frame. Might have a non-legit title if advertised as a 1970.

That’s member cleszkie’s Blazer: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=677785

These K5 campers would make a good thread. That on the CL Blazer looks to have a similar attachment to the to the windshield frame and door glass as this example here so maybe it’s original but that’s just speculation: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...7&postcount=59 and here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...3&postcount=13
