Shocks not relocated for now and not nearly as bad an angle as I thought it would be with 6" springs and 2" blocks. I will be installing the No Limit Relocators like I have on my Blazer tho.

Nice to know! I'm just looking at 5" in the rear for mine so hopefully I'll be good for now. Do you have an adjustable trac bar?

I saw this one on craigslist today. Its overpriced (I think) but you can't argue with that patina.

Re: Post you patina trucks!!!!!! Real or fake post your weathered beauties!

Hello I'm a new posting member to the sight now that I'm official to owning one. Heres my 1967 that was recently given to me by uncle and was bought by grandfather in the late 70's It's an inline 6 with 3 on the tree. I'm thinking to go with the patina look until I can get it right. Thoughts?

I like it like it is! Put it in the weeds with some wheels and leave it alone. Welcome to the site!

Heres mine, x fire truck. Then was a paint truck for the last part of its govt life. Gotta keep the patina, getting full porterbuilt eventually.

Re: Post you patina trucks!!!!!! Real or fake post your weathered beauties!

Thanks Guys!! It didnt look exactly like that when I bought it though. It had been sprayed with a house paint sprayer.

When I first got it I started stripping the paint off the top of the fender I noticed this nice patina fade. Alot of aircraft stripper and a scotch bright pad did the trick, but it took for ever and I had be careful not to strip it to metal.

So after that it was a very tedious paint stripping. I had to get the house paint off without damaging the old school paint.

This was what the paint looked like when I first brought it home. This was with alot of the front stripped already. Youve seen the after. Luckily it was only the sides and the hood.

If you find a truck covered in house paint it may be a really cool patina under that crusty coat.FYI

Home Depot stocks a very strong graffiti remover that might work well in that situation.
