Re: Surf Blue

Nothing real major to report. I finally got all the side windows, and vent windows installed. (took some pics) The seat brackets have been worked and painted ,and the red bench seat is in the truck temporarily. I had the money together to get the seat to the upholstery shop and to get some Line-x in the bed. Unfortunately though......putting the wife through nursing school has to come first so that money went to that instead. Here's some more pics.

Re: Surf Blue

Manshe looks good basking in the sun. I'm not a big blue fan, but this makes me like it a whole lot more.

Did you say the lights don't work that well? I have been considering them myself.

They're not real bright. I don't know why they're not, they're just not. It may be the blue bulbs I have in them. I'm planning on changing back to the white bulbs to see if that helps ,(someday). I'll keep you posted when I do.

Re: Surf Blue

Thanks. Yeah I imagine the blue bulbs don't help much.

Re: Surf Blue

Looks great...I actually really like our trucks with the vent windows...What brand headlights are those? Any fogging issues?

Not sure of the actual brand, but I got them from LMC.

I swapped the blue bulbs in them for some white ones, it's alot better now.

Re: Surf Blue

Clean ride. I've always loved these trucks and while casually visiting/lurking/reading through posts this past weekend, I came across this thread. Now I'm determined to find one of my own in '09. Keep up the good work. Your truck is a HUGE inspiration. There seems to be a good amount of TX folks on here too.

Re: Surf Blue

I should have the seat back from the upholstery shop in a few days. Like I said the material I am having it covered in is kind of different.

Re: Surf Blue

Did you have to do any additional wiring when installing the headlights? I have a set I'm planning on putting in. I haven't wired my truck yet.

Thanks.

The kit comes with an additional harness that's easy to install, and it includes 2 relays
