Re: '72 Drop member... "Betty"

All the sub structure is in place. The center box behind the tail gate will house the accuair. I am going to build something to hold the tail gate open at a 45°angle to display the air ride stuff. Getting closer. .. so ready to drive it. Thanks for all the support. It really helps me stay focused

Okay I was just curious about that with the tire height Nathan recommends a 28" tire on the front and the 265 35-22 is 29.3" I'm running the extreme PB on my 68 I'm picking it all up FRIDAY and just trying to figure some things out trucks looking killer.

Re: '72 Drop member... "Betty"

The bed is coming together great. Are you just boxing off around the tires in the bed rather than building tubs? Will the tires sit under the floor or extend beyond the floor some? If so how are you going to cap those off?

Nice work on the tub. Are you just shortening the height or making it wider, taller? I bet that is really time consuming.

Thanks fellas. We are shortening the hight and then adding 5" or so in the middle. overall length will be factory. It's like chopping the top on a car. I'll probably have 20hrs of labor in them. Here is a picture that will explain better.

Re: '72 Drop member... "Betty"

I'm trying to see if there would be any interest if we started making rear inner fenders out of fiberglass. They are a pain to make from steel so I thought maybe there would be a market for them. I could use the ones we just built for a mold.

I would say yes. Although, I think you would have to offer several different heights though since everyone has a slightly different setup.

I agree with Hart_Rod and it would make my life easier instead of trying to modify mine.

I was thinking that too. But also one hieght may work for the fact that some peoples tubs will touch top rail and some may sit 1-2" lower with same hieght tub? So maybe one hieght would work...

Seth, the rear tubs came out nice. What did you do with the inner bed sides? Can't really tell in the pictures.

Thanks Josh. I ran the sheetmetal clear over to the bedsides and used 3M Pannel Bond to glue them. It added back the strength to the sides and finishes off the wheel wheels

Any pictures of this, I still need to do this to mine and I'm looking for some ideas.
