I just got off the phone with Napa, they sell Dana Spicer brands, he tells me that their ball joints use polyurethane and not rubber, did some googling and it would appear that a lot of folks out there do like their products and swear by them. I think I may just roll with them.

Bidding on a Posi Unit today, hopefully I can get it for a decent price, then just sell the open carrier from the donor truck's rear end

On a ****tier side note, my new 300 dollar Canon Camera has come up missing since last weekend at my shop, so no more high res pics

I'm super bummed, I don't even want to believe someone I work with would take it, but it sure as hell didn't walk away!

and last week smashed a thumb bout took off my knuckle with one of the control arms, just unboxing, good thing I dont use power tools on my build!

I won the auction on that Posi Unit! Woot, snagged it for 177.50, not too bad, I saw an open carrier go for like 210 earlier this week.

The welder was sitting there and its all getting powder coated , just made sense I guess. Cleaner look.

Exactly!

When I did my first build I completed the bagged chassis with the plates....after they were installed I really wished I'd welded them vs bolted...but at that point all the paint was done...

Plates welded up, and had to do some repairs to the frame prior to getting it over to the powder coater. I was trying so hard to get all the parts grinded up and ready to go I forgot to take photos, oh and the fact that my camera is still missing http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/i...cons/icon8.gif

I got everything loaded up Sat afternoon and dropped it off @ the powder coater. Supposed to have it back in 7-10 business days. I decided to go with a satin black on the frame and charcoal metallic on the bolt on's.

So anyone have many parts powdered before?

I'm on the fence between Anthracite and Auto Charcoal Metallic, my guy didn't have a chip of both so I cant compare directly, I have had parts done about 7 years ago in anthracite on my car I sold.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Looking good. I never have the money for powder---expensive around here

I do two tone silver and black paint a lot on frames though....think it looks clean and nicely detailed.

Yeah I just done know if one is lighter or darker than the other, and or if one is more metallic. I bet it really doesn't matter, he will have to order either one in anyhow.
