Re: Killer
Well guys, no real noticeable progress today, so I didnt take any pics
Basically just threw the engine & trans in to measure some things & decided that I dont feel like doing all the work or spending the money to channel my X-member I was thinking about moving my engine back a few more inches, but decided not to because of floor clearance issues & I dont really wanna cut on my floor But I may move it up about an inch, to give my headers a lil more ground clearance |

![]() I havent really made any progress do to building a truck for a friend over new years & cleaning the shop since then Im getting the shop close to being workable again, so I should be getting some stuff done again I scored a wheelbarrow for the engine recess in the firewall, so I just need to buy some sheet & I can start putting that back together ![]() Last edited by Spray-Bomb; 01-14-2009 at 01:45 PM. |

Re: Killer
Dude, that is a badass idea! I love it. I'm all about resourcefulness and using parts that are already made versus reinventing the wheel. I may have to use that idea on my 61! Thanks!

Re: Killer
Well as stated in the Camaros thread, I wont be doing anything with it until I have about 60K in the bank to do it up nice
So right now it sits & gets sat in to make vroom vroom noises ![]() I think today will be my last day of cleaning for a while, cuz I just wanna get back to working on Killer There is still a ton more cleaning to do, but at least what I have done so far will make it easier to work on Killer ![]() |

Re: Killer
Hey Matt, I seriously need to make some concrete plans to come up and hang out for a day, maybe even help turn a wrench or two. We're flying to Hawaii to get married the beginning of March so I'll hit you up when I get back and try to set something up. Truck is looking good by the way, all of the experience diong this and that to all of the others is paying off

Re: Killer
I can see why flipping the mounts help, but why flip the whole arm?
Helps with pinion alignment? |

Re: Killer
There is no need to flip the arm really, I just felt like it since I will be building new ones anyway I just wanted to see what it would do
I mean it may give you a hair more lift, but you still have to run pinion shims or rotate the axle on the perches to correct the pinon angle |
