Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"

Cool!

Im going to fix my fence and get house going so not much crew time this weekend.. but i did get a new starter for it, thinking about trying to get the bigger fuel tank in it instead of the smaller one since i have to move the brackets anyways.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"

Thanks OJOE.

I didn't get any pics cause it got dark on me, but I was able to get some stuff done today.
I got the fire wall patched, sealed, and primed. My son got all the stuff off of the front of the engine in preparation for the intake, water pump, and serp swap. The wife and I scrubbed out the interior and i sanded and primed some rust spots on the floors. And i took the outer A/C box apart and cleaned the coil and resealed the box. I need to put some paint on the floors and firewall then I can start re-assembly. I also need to find me an EFI gas tank..... I have class tomorrow evening, so it will probably be Tuesday evening before I can continue on it, and post pics .

Sweet!! You have enough Argon to finish it all up? What kinda gas tank you need? I think im going to try and use the big tank out of the crew since i have to move the brackets anyways.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"

Oh
sorry for the misunderstanding....
Guess one of us was confused
I have a burb tank, sender, and pump that I don't think I'm gonna use. I know the tank is too big.
Are the blazer senders/pumps the same? Guess I could pick up a blazer tank if so.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"

man i'm always confused about something. duh... well, i do know the sending unit i have is from a blaze. 'if' there was a difference, it would be a difference in length. if the burb's tank is deeper than a blazer then they are different.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"

I didn't get a lot done over the weekend.....
but I did manage to finish up my firewall repair, get all of the cab wiring mostly in. I had a hell of a time fishing the passenger rear dome light switch wire in there weren't any switches for the dome on the back doors, just plugs in the holes. Guess it must have been a plain jane or bonus cab in it's previous life....well, not any more
I'm having a bit of an issue with the suburban overhead console, the bracket just doesn't quite fit right. I'm probably going to modify the bracket.
well anyway, here are a few pics......

Oh and the dumbass behind the keyboard here threw away a perfectly good crew headliner board months ago before he got this truck.....anyone know of a place to get one? I know Captkaos was talking about making them awhile back.......If I could get my hands on one, there is a place in the city that could make some out of ABS

I am so glad to see you and I fall in the same schedule...."the mid tempo group". There is the fast group like Bob, Dennis, etc. Then there is the slow group like, well, John.
