Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"

Got a new valve pan breather today.
Along with a new goose neck and thermostat.
Installed new gaskets on the valve pans, Headers,
And under the Holley. Checked every bolt, From the air cleaner
to the motor mount, To the tip of the tranny.
Then rebuilt the starter, New soliniod, And brushes.
Sanded the commutator, Greased the bushings, And repainted.

Did some color shots today of a new paint combo.
The picture doesn't do it justice, But here is a test panel.

Very good!!
It's a black base, With a gold pearl over it. And 4 coats of root beer Kandy
over top of that. These shots don't even have clear on them yet.

I flips from black, To bronze, To gold, And then to brown, Depending on your
angle. Here is a wider shot.

Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"

great color, build soming along great, gonna go with the same header setup, clearance looks good, just whether or not the 5.5 drop up front will require a tapered exit

Looking at mine, You shouldn't have any problems.
It drops out just behind the cross member.
I'll shoot a couple clearance shots for you today,
So you can see.

Here is a downward shot on each side, To show the header clearance.

P.S. Got a surprise in a couple minutes.

Yes! And the nice weather we've been having this week doesn't help.

Got the carb adjusted in today, And the vacuum advance hooked up.
It sounds great!!!!
I ordered a stainless steel exhaust kit.
And I was looking at the engine and tranny from start to finish.
I figure I got off pretty cheap in the long run. Rebuilding it myself.
