I had always wanted one so when my car was totalled after just being repaired I figured I needed something stronger to drive and found the Chev below in a town about 400 miles away. I flew up took one look at it and bought it then drove it home the same day. It had no working speedo or fuel guage and having no idea what sort of milage it got I stopped at every gas station on the way. Got back without a problem at all but the next morning I burnt out the starter motor trying to get it started.

I will try to get it looking as good as possible while using it as my daily car.

It is supposedly a 67 Right hand drive with the extended cab and a 327 V8 with an ato box. That is about all I know.

That looks cool! I was always amazed at the different styles of vehicles when I traveled abroad. I spent a couple of months in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth a couple of years ago. I miss South Africa, hopefully I can visit your side of the world again, before too long.

bobshotrodblazer: The color is orange sunburst it is a GM corvette color I think around 2002 thru 2004 somewhere around there. I had to get a place fixed on it and had to get ppg to match it up because it was painted in 2003 or 2004 and todays code did not match up to the rest.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

Here is a video of the truck that my son and I built. We started in 2003 and are 98%. A friend of mine shot the video and there are pics of the build at the end.

Nope. Just keep pluggin along and do the best you can with what ya have. Do a little at a time....as much as you can afford or as much as you have time for. Think of it like you are trying to eat an elephant...one bite at a time.

Excellent video man! Looks like something I've always wanted to do. Does he do this on his own spare time or professionally?

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

[QUOTE=DJMAN;3912368]It came from my father-in-laws back yard as a 250 three on the tree. (sorry no pics)

To this in my front yard after 2 years in a buddy's shop and me working really slow.

[

COOL!!! I see it has the optional "E81 FLOORBOARD" Seriously, though, what's up with that?

Thanks! AJ is a full time student and film major. He freelances these projects and is just starting his own film business. Here is a link to his new website....
