i still have the manifolds but the drivers side is cracked in two lol but im still going to keep them. the headers are old Hedmans

sanded the under side of the cab 40, 60 , and 100 grit. then i kinda contemplated for a while about if i wanted to paint the firewall black. i always liked black firewalls , it really makes the engine pop. so i went with a black firewall. 1: black is easy to touch up and this truck is going to be driven ALOT
2: im going to paint the truck the original ochre/white when its all back together not when its in pieces so this way i wont have to worry about painting the firewall or getting access to it

cleaning up the frame for paint with a knotted wire wheel on a grinder works great. my compressor couldn't keep up with this big a project. im about half done cleans up really nicely

i primed & painted the frame over the weekend. it turned out better than i thought it would. really close to getting the cab back on!

yup, i painted the underside (a few posts back) i dont think ill put undercoating on. i just think it will be overkill
