You are doing a great job on the truck! Nice new family member, I got my Rotti off the freeway (he was playing catch with cars) about 6yrs ago and could not ask for a better dog. As for OT Vs free time, just do the OT and set it aside for the off time and even more new parts! With how everything is going these days SAVING needs to be the new trend!

Keep up the great work and it will be well worth it in the end!

i should be ok with all of the people leaving. to be honest i am not concerned, was but realized i do the best i can and cant control what "could happen". i have done enough worring in the past that is why i have such a full head of hair also dont know if i will be to that point that i will muscle but you guys are more than welcome to stop over.

got lots and lots of welding done today! got the inside all welded and almost all of the frame on the outside, still have some more to go. i have a lot of grinding and finishing work ahead of me! also pic of mans best friend for 6.99 for a 3' piece, made it a lot easier on the outside to form!

I may be wrong but I think he had to cut it like that so he could contour it to the shape of the windshield opening. If you use flat metal it's kinda hard to get that shape without a roller and shinker/stretcher.

mcbassin is correct, i had made some before and cutting with sheers is a pain then have to flat it back out. but the toolshed had this already made. it is so nice and easy to form and works great for turns curves, winsheild, wheel wells and so on.

thanks steve, everytime i head in the garage i have to take 2 steps back to take half of one forward. tonight had evrything planned out and my air compressor decided she needed some attention and wantedt her belt tighten, bolts repaired that had stripted that hold the pump on to the platform. oh well, got her running like new, still runs like a top for 11 years old. probably should not have said that?

heath, not too much. i have been grinding and cleaning up all of the welds in the header and windshield surround. i have just not gotten any pics yet but will put some up tomorrow. worked a little tonight on the rear brake lines.

mike you are correct! do you want to go with me for the maiden voyage on saturday morning? i had big plans this week and should have known better than to do that and just get done what i could. i usually get 10x more done with no expectations or low ones.
anyhow, did get some grinding and finishing done in the cool weather. i still have some finish work on the header. yeah right it was a 102* here today, actually was not bad with the low humdity. i had cut the back window lower section out and am going to replace since there was some rust there. nothing like the front but figured since everything else is like new might as well go all the way.

Nice work on the windshield opening! I like to take lots of measurements too, it seems like I still cut things too short.

Dude!!! It's been awhile! While ya got that lower rear window area cut out could you please show us all to install a power window back there!!! hehe Just messin with ya! But it would be cool! Work looks great, can't wait for the finale!!

thanks guys! slick i had the power window in place and was going to do a write up but dropped it! sorry!

well a weeks vacation came and went way to fast! i was very productive but not as much as i would have like to have gotten done on the truck. got lots of other things done that needed to be taken care of though. got all of the outside trim around th garage doors replace, caulked and painted. redid my sister inlaws shower in payment for the awesome pooch, fare barder in my opinion. also got a retractable extension cord and air line reels installed and ran another circuit fro more recepticals in the garage, always a plus! got sick and tired of tripping over 100' ext. cord and 50' of air line laying on the ground! got the rear window seal done and just need to do some finish grinding and it is on to prep and paint, finally!!

I installed a 100ft Goodyear air line with a hand crank... don't know what I plan to do with 100ft but it was the same price as 50 so I figured what the heck...

holy mudd boy! 100' your set! is the reel big?

i had gotten these at harbor frieght for $40 ext for 30' and $45 for 25' air. they had 50' but it was pretty big and i put it next to the doors and was worried with the door track. it will reach anything outside and have a 15' for the other corner of the garage i can put it on if need be.

did you get your harness installed yet? i had did somework for my buddy with the bike shop and think i might order a aluminum rad., fan and relay setup from either jegs or summit.

don't forget to check your part numbers on Amazon.com. I paid $367 shipped for the harness and it arrived in 5 days....

I have drill this weekend and Niagara falls next... no time for the truck, as always... I'm saving up for bed wood next.

it is getting hard to sqeeze time in here too. i cant believe how fast and busy life is getting. every night when we crawl into bed and wake up in the morning i tell my wife it feels like "ground hogs day". i am at the point were i threw the toaster in the bath this morning...... and nothing! all joking aside it is flyin'
