Re: US Tom

Thanks Keith. 80 degrees, beautiful sunny skies. Got to meet Mr and Mrs 67Cheby and see Cloud 9 in person. That's an awesome truck - worth every award it gets. Real good turnout for trucks in general. Justin from Scott's Hot Rods was there. He brought along a 55 Chevy that was out of this world, over the top. It won Builder's Choice award.

I just love GG events, so many excellent cars, meeting old friends and making new - just tough to beat.

Incredible… Tom looks great, it is amazing to me how it all came together (not to mention how fast as well). Hope to see Tom someday in person, and looking forward to seeing more progress on Short Changed.

Steve, where did Tom get his new pipes? I need to find a place to mine sometime soon.

Some shop near downtown Shawnee. Kyle will have the info on it.

Still have to pinch myself to make sure it isn't a dream that he's done.

Re: US Tom

I wasn't there much because I can see my truck any time I want.

I love to check out everyone else's, swap meet, vendors, autocross and all that. I just stopped by a few times to restock Kyle's business cards - only had one left by when I left at 4:00.

Re: US Tom

Tom looks great. I wish I could have came out to GG's this weekend. Too much going on try to get baseball and Korbin's truck finished. I know the weather was near perfect for the event. Maybe at the fall event at TMS you can bring Tom back....

I really like the interior too. Great job!

Thanks - I appreciate the feedback and I look forward to every installment on your build too. It's crazy how fast you built that frame!

I hope this comes across right, but frankly I'm a bit surprised at how good he turned out. Kyle kept pushing me to do things that I probably would have not done and because I listened to him, it's a lot better than I had actually intended. If you read the beginning of this post, Tom was supposed to be a test vehicle of sorts - just something for me to hone my skills on and try to utilize my stash of various parts. I had a grill that was OK for a driver that I intended to use and Kyle talked me into using one that's better. Same with vent windows, grill-to-radiator covers and a host of other things. All those little things add up to the difference between an OK truck and one that really looks good.

I definitely plan on being there in the Fall for the next GG's. Not sure at this point what I'll be bringing.

Is need to get a better hosting site for pics. I don't know why it won't show bigger pix. Anyway, I backed Tom out of the shop yesterday to do some Spring cleaning, shot a couple of pics. They don't do him any justice, but here they are.

Hey Steve;
Try this hosting site out, it has worked very well for me and has 3 picture size options when linking pictures, small thumb, large thumb, and original image.
