Before you buy the line, how good is the fuel filter nut and the carb threads? Those famously get stripped by ham-handed filter changers.

Not sure. Some have used Inline Tube (inlinetube.com), others report issues with fit. I made my own with bendable tubing from the parts store, and worked for me, but you would have to do a little research and measurement to get right size and length, then carefully bend.

I have used Inline before. Trans lines on my 64 Sport Fury convertible. Fit was excellent. I will do some research.

I clay barred the entire truck this weekend and started the 1rst application of carnuba wax. This black original paint is nothing if not amazing. Being single stage black paint that is 53 years old the oxidation was really light. Tells me someone, original owner, gave this truck lots of love.

<sheds a tear> That's beautiful. I'd (jokingly) suggest an Ed Hubbs "True Flame" paint job, though. Look up his "Hell Camino" video for a great example. If I ever get in a position to buy another truck, it'll be black and I'll make it flame painted. Way too cool. What the heck, here's a link.

This shows the standard mirrors for your truck- if no mirrors were listed on the SPID then it came with the standard equipment mirrors 6.25" fixed arm mirrors for models ending in 04, 05 and 34. The optional mirrors are listed on page 112 of the pdf file linked below- these would be listed on the SPID as they were not standard equipment.
