In these pics I used the larger panel and a disk to give it some texture...then I mixed the clear to be eggshell...
Guys give me your feedback on what you think..

I like bare metal when done right. Sometimes it can be over done. It's all in perspective. I really like metal flake but it too can be over done. I think metal flake because it will be a nice contrast to the outside as well. Either way it's going to be bada$$.

Rusty76 I agree on that...I have seen some cars that have had the entire body done in bare metal with the swirl pattern all over it with high gloss clear (to much for me) The metal flake was my first thought (did a 49 Ford for a friend of mine with red) But after talking it over with some guys they felt it would take away from all the metal work and make it look like fiber glass piece I bought and stuck in there.

This is something I wanted to share with you guys..
It is a tool I made for marking cut lines etc. When precise lines are required. It makes it very easy to adjust for thin trimming etc..
I used a block of steel 1/2 wide by 1/4 drilled a hole on both side so it can be rotated as needed. Then using welding rod,steel rod to fit the hole. it slides through and is welded to a collar with set screw. Then I used a piece of tungsten for the scribe. this is adjustable as is the length. then using the set screw on the top it locks it together.
Pic #2 showing how it works...you can use Dykem or even a marker..
Hope this helps the home or pro fabricator...

Pic #2 I don't know how many of you guy's out there like door signage!
I want this truck to be used as a shop truck and daily driver (If I ever get it done lol) This was a design I came up with and had 2 stencils made and applied them to the doors, Then used my airbrush and sprayed the white paint and then using a paper towel and some reducer I started to age it (with stencil still on)
Then remove the stencil and let dry...After this I wet sanded it a bit to give it a better weathered look..

I like all your ideas. You could go with a silver metal flake on the dash top and some accents. Then leave the others in bare metal too... You're doing a killer job and I absolutely like door art.

Here is A update...
My front moldings around the windshield are a bit of an eyesore...so I need to fix this issue..
Pic #1 shows the transition from molding to the dash, witch exposes a large gap between them.
Pic #2 shows from passenger side the gap between the molding and door.
Now the A pillar would normally have some sort of interior welting etc, but I have diff. plans for this later. So I will start on making extensions for the molding's.
This pic also shows a sneak peek of the finish on the door panel and door moldings! I am not happy with the look!! (in person it looks like painted surface)it is bare metal with clear..

Will need some trimming etc. to get it the way I want..

Looks good. So when finished the extension will be welded to the window trim and it will be held on by screws.

Yes! It will basically be the new molding. the screws for the O.E. molding hold it nice and tight to the pillar..

Pic #2. here I have also tacked on round bar to the outer edge to finish it off a bit more. I used 1/8" for this.

Pic #1. the molding removed from vehicle and all welded, Time to grind and metal finish..
Pic #2. All metal finish done. (After seeing it all finished I didn't like how the corner looked being rounded so I will square it off )
