how about i buy this truck from you (save this truck from you) for what you think is reasonable price, so you can get a nice 2wd.

If you do the body swap, I could really use the front seats out of the donor. Maybe the top and hatch if they are good. Maybe a few other pieces... Hell, it sounds like I should get everything you take off of the donor.

It probably wouldn't be a 'chop', per se, though I have been known to break out the sawzall Still not sure I want to frame swap this one, as it's just so clean. Most people I talk to think it's restored and are shocked when I tell them it's mostly original. You just can't duplicate that; part of the fun is preserving the history. On the other hand, it would also be a really clean 2wd and make people shake their heads. I used to enjoy sitting back and listening to people try to figure out what the deal was with my old yellow blazer--especially with the top off--hacked pickup? converted 4wd? monstrosity? I keep seeing this one in my mind aired-out, tucking 20" TT2s, topless, with the plaid seats catching some rays

Just think, if you had picked up that 2wd in the eighties, it would have probably ended up pro-street, tubbed, monochrome teal, with a pink heartbeat stripe and grey tweed interior!
Oh, I know you wouldn't need to chop anything. Your builds are always done right.
I have no doubt if you do put the body on the 2wd frame it will be super cool.
Looking forward to the build.

Yeah, I lived through the pro street days, tweed, and candy colors. I regret that I never had the foresight to buy that thing from him. At the time, if wasn't a big block, I didn't have any interest. Go figure. THIS is a spitting image, except stock height and more rust.

Make an offer- everything is for sale That goes for anyone... I wouldn't be asking crazy money for it. I really would just rather have a 2-wheeler...

Thinking of using the seats in my truck, but undecided. Everything else would likely be for sale if I end up using the frame. The top is good, the hatch has one major crack.

Thanks, man. I'm slightly averse to hacking this one up, too. I really like that ochre!

If you put a price on it, be careful, someone will pay it. Happened to me recently!
