No. It was a rather painful process that Tim helped me through. He and I both had to coordinate directly with SMS to have them make a scrolled set for a Highlander seat cover, they shipped the material (vinyl panels and scrolled vinyl panels) and the plaid to Tim and he had them put together for me.

I ordered quite some time ago (as in EALRY 2013...), but it was worth the effort. Having said that, now that it's been done, I think SMS would be able to handle this again much more easily. Regardless, I would recommend having the materials sent to Tim so he can have them stitched up.

The poc at SMS that will know what I'm talking about is at this email (sorry, I forgot his name): questions@smsautofabrics.com or 505-263-3535. And, of course, Tim knows how this is done also - but the raw materials are an SMS gig for now. Rumor is that they will possibly start making these available without having to do it as a custom job. That would be nice as it would probably be less expensive, but, what they hey, just had to have a correct scrolled seat in this truck for some crazy reason. Again, Tim was VERY helpful and we were both very patient - the process included SEVERAL returned orders to SMS for wrong color of vinyl, etc etc. And Tim was the go-between quality screener on all this, very much appreciate his help. Once all the correct materials were finally in his hands, it didn't take very long to get this done.

I know I'm going to need to replace mine later this year. If they came down in price along with the normal ones I could pull the trigger sooner. Otherwise I'm still going to have to run my worn out original for awhile.

If ordering from sms what would suggest to prevent problems? Was it shading problems or the wrong color? I called them today and they seemed to know what I was talking about. They had the prices for the trim and vinal with scroll. John

Re: Truckseats Photobook

^^ What he said, I've got some highlander seats that are going to need to be recovered soon but I was going to wait with hopes of being able to get some with the center scroll.

Re: Truckseats Photobook

Price for black vinyl with white/black houndstooth inserts for buddy buckets like the seat below. Also need foams for both seats, do you do a package deal for the new foam and covers if bought together?

Re: Truckseats Photobook

Here is mine done by Truckseats. I am very happy with the quality. I ordered the fabric from SMS fabrics and sent it to him to sew it into the vinyl. Amazing what 40 hours in foam reconstruction and a new cover will do....

How she looked before-

Re: Truckseats Photobook

Truckseats,

I'd like to find out about getting my second row seat covered to match (as close as possible) the front seat of my '72 Suburban. Only issue is that the second row seat is from a '86 Blazer. I attached a couple of photos. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Bill

I like the seats they look really good in your truck! I also noticed the steering wheel in your pic, so I checked out your photo book. Wow, what an awesome truck!! Question about your steering wheel. Did you re-size it your self. What diameter is it? I have one of those wheels to put on my truck, and am considering cutting it down to a smaller size.
