Re: my 65 fleetside build

fenders are ready for paint, cowl pieces are real close, i did get a wild hair after i blocked the back of the cab again and decided to go ahead and spray the bedliner material inside the cab, after all it is all going to be covered withe carpet anyway and i hope it will help with cab noise. here some pics let me know what you think

Re: my 65 fleetside build

Wow, You been doing a lot of fast work!! Everything looks real good to me. Looks like your pretty much done now. everything ready for paint. Are you going to do any of the paint or let someone else do it? I know im going to let my buddy I grew up with paint mine in his paint booth but he said I could come paint it in the booth but im going to let him do it. I just dont have the technique to paint just yet. Im putting to much work in this truck to bugger it up at the end, lol. besides he turns out showroom paint jobs. Keep up the good work, love the pics!!

Re: my 65 fleetside build

Another fellow on here did the bed liner on the cab floor too, and that is where I got the idea from. Though like him, I think I am going to just go with the Herculiner that I can roll on.

Yours turned out awesome! With that liner on the bottom of the cab and on the floors, you should cut down on future rusting in an awesome way! Can't wait to see what is next with you sir.

thanks, i was pretty happy with the liner, it was very easy to spray and it was cheap, or at least i thought so.

thanks chad, i almost talked myself into changing colors because it seemed they were all red, but what the heck it is my favorite color and its also the original color of the truck, red that is not excatly the color of red i used but it was red. cant make up my mind on the gauge cluster, my truck just came with idiot lights and i definitly want to go with gauges and would love a really nice factory set-up, time will tell.

if its going to be together in three weeks you better take at least two weeks vacation and come on to tn to give me a hand but i thank you for the compliments now a lot of color sanding and buffing not looking forward to that at all, kinda going to put mine on hold for a while there is a young man down the road from me who is doing a 71 chevelle we pianted the hood and trunk sat before we started on mine and i am going to help him get his going before i start on mine, its not every day you see a 22 year old that is as car crazy as this one is, he is a inspiration.
