I was afraid of that. maybe I will just remove the stainless trim part and paint them the same color as the truck.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Hey 72longhornTX, are you going to swap your 454? I just got the truck yesterday, filled the tank, went to work and I'm half empty. Damn, didn't think they were that thirsty. I need to do the swap asap as this is going to be my daily driver.

If you just take off the stainless the mounts have notches cut in them for screw access. I would either sand down and prime/paint the stainless ones or look for ones off a later (88-91) crew or suburban in the junkyard, they are one piece with no notches and were painted black. Hope this helps.

On a side note, my ton crew is coming together slowly but surely, got to test drive her today...

I'm sorry but I'd spend my money with Donna at Auto World if I was going to purchase a cross member! There parts are really nice and superb quality. www.autoworldmt.com

Thanks Joe, 7 inches front, 5 in rear, 18x9 XD's and 37" nitto's. For now has 350 with a 177 blower I had around from another project. Eventually I want to do a diesel swap, because we want to use it to tow our toys around. Trying to make it dependable. I replaced everything on the chassis when I did the lift. (Brakes, hoses, u-joints, bushings, etc.)

Its a 88 v30 that I shortened the bed and frame on 28 inches. it runs a cab and chassis rear, and d60 front with a spacer that comes off and goes on the rear so it can be single or dual wheel.
I have a 95 cummins in it with a nv4500 and 205.
I have several sets of the p30 rims, but haven't run them on the truck in a year or two.
heres some more pics. first is with the wheels painted dark.

and heres a single wheel pic.

its current status is wrecked, and going in my shop this coming week to get rebuilt.

I have a new 2wd frame that I'm gonna swap it onto, and cut it down for a standard shortbed this time. nothing wrong with the cab or bed, but I want to change it up while I have it all apart. no idea what I'm going to do with the shortened bed once I take it off. wheel spacing is all wrong for a trailer!
heres a link to the original build.

Hope its alright to link to another website.
I need more inside "poop" on these p30 rims What it takes to fit and where to look. Thanks Mang!

the 19.5's bolt right on. only reason I have a spacer is my front 60 is a single wheel, and I wanted to be able to swap back and forth. but if yours is a dually youre ready to go.

He is referring to his Dana 60 front axle.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

If it were lowered and tucked the rear tires a bit, I think it would be sweet. I like it....different. I have the same C+C rear 14 in mine as well. With some slight adjustments on the rear fenders they would tuck no problem. Want to see pictures as it comes along....

Still not my thing Craig but you make whatever you build look good! Might as well of posted pictures of your purple and white roadster as well! I have been asking around for your phone number but from the pics you don't need the stepside bed I found.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

I kinda posted my car pics up to show I have enough crap that's lowered. I look forward to something I don't have to lay down to get in. The truck is meant to be my car hauler and is a budget build. I like the fact that not everybody dose the step side, Its beefy and sexy at the same time , like me. Right Jeff!
