Polished, they actually shine pretty nicely for a 1 piece cast wheel and I haven't even polished them yet

That was a rendering I had done 10 or 11 years ago before I started on my suburban.

That makes sense now, I saw the rendering and was like, wait a second what happened to the Vintecs

Crap! I've somehow missed your new build until now. You're knocking this thing out! Sucks about the wheels tho.
I too am facing the D. We've gotta sell the place so my project is in storage for now.

Nice and hard to go wrong with the TTIIs. That's why I bought my Ridlers. High-dollar wheels will be my last purchase.

Thanks and sorry to hear about you facing the big D as well. I was opposite as I kept the house but lost the truck All I can say is, time heals the wounds and you'll be back on your feet before you know it! Keep your head up!

Yeah they just look good on everything! Eventually I may try billets again but it will be after the truck is done!

Re: Project "Redemption" 68 SWB Fleetside

Not much progress with the Labor Day Weekend, but I did manage to get myself a new truck. Picked up a 2016 Race Red Ford F-150 Crew Cab XLT Sport FX4. I know, I know it's a Ford but I'm in love with it and they gave me the deal I wanted. It's got every option I could ever want in a truck and since I'm a V-8 guy, I got it with the Coyote 5.0

Haha, come on, you can say it. When it comes to new trucks, I'm not really brand loyal as I've had Chevy, Dodge, Nissan, GMC and now Ford. My classics are always Chevy though

Re: Project "Redemption" 68 SWB Fleetside

Looks like your progress is steady and moving in the right direction. Looking great! I am doing almost the opposite, my cab and bed are about done and its time to get going on my chassis.. Just one little item in my way (68 burb under the knife)

Been a long time since I was in Jersey, lived in Wrightstown while I was stationed at McGuire back in the 80's..

Keep the faith, I'll be following along

Thanks Justin, I'm pretty happy with it. I worked on it this weekend installing a new Roush exhaust and a Amp & Subwoofer upgrade since the stereo was lacking a little. I'll get back on the C10 this weekend.

Hey I'm right there with you. I just bought a F150 almost a month ago. it's just got the puny little 6-cyl. It does have a strange whistling noise coming from under the hood though

My girlfriend has that same punny little 6cyl in her Explorer Sport, it definitely is peppy. I just like the way a V-8 sounds especially now since I put the Roush exhaust on it That 5.0 has some get up and go too.
