Sorry to hear about the engine, I was going to comment on the color coordination on it too as I really like the two color combo with the flat and gloss contrasts in black, it looked super sharp in the photos !! Well chin up there, you will get thru this !!

I bought a "hopped" up 350 yesterday off of craigslist, cleaned it up and painted it last night. Hopping to have it in the truck with in the next few days!! I got the motor from a good ol boy!! lol We'll see if it runs as good as he says.

As you can see I cheated. Took the truck over to Johns house to pull the motor, Its like doing it at the doctors office as you can see in the above photo. He made me mop the floor "before we got started"

There is a small group of us building street cars to do a little "no prep" racing, thats John car. Heres mine. I decided not to put a change in my Nova. All of my stuff is going in this car. Its another reason I haven't worked on her truck. The cage is in, motor and trans are built, so as soon as her truck is done, back on the wagon!!

Small block shuffle!
This is what happens when you go to Johns house to work on something, you get to watch. This is what we did most of the weekend with the kids, hence the truck not running yet. We did mange to the the new motor back in! I'm off to Phoeinx to pick up a sign, I'll get back on the truck as soon as I can!! Maggie, Jason, and John |

Ok, motor is in, runs good!! Still need to do some tuning, but its now a tire fryer!! We worked on the truck pretty late last night and went put a few miles on it!!
Hood struts installed!! Fixing the door hindges, and stops!! We plan on getting a lot done this week before the show! I had to come in to work today to meet Rick Hendrick, our owners new buiness partner, than back to Johns to get back to work on the truck!!! (notice who's doing all the work?) |
