Looks good to me. Inside, under the hood and under the truck. Now I'm wondering why the mufflers are mounted the way they are.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

I am new to the forum. I just purchased a 1986 Chevy C-10, 2wd, short box, 350 engine, 350 turbo tranny, etc. Its in good shape and should be a good starting point for a project truck. Not a big fan of the color, but I am going to save some coin over the next year, and take some notes from you guys, and see if I can turn it into my dream truck! I have been reading the forum for about 6 months, and there are some really nice trucks out here. Looking forward to adding mine to the mix.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

Change to pipes to come out the sides , but angle them up and pointing out towards the ground, that way, U want see them as much! Get some Stock 15X8's! Get rid of the stickers! I like this truck! and this is a immediate, cheap fix. Nice truck, whatever U decide to do.

Thats awesome! One thing I love about these projects is hearing about it bringing family together. I bet your truck looks good with the NIssan Gold! I don't mind my paint color, or I wouldn't have bought the truck. Its just not at the top of the list. It definitely doesn't look bad sitting in my driveway right now!

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

here are a couple of mine and my brothers trucks, we reside in southern Wisconsin, im posting both of them cause he is currently stationed in Ft.Lewis Washington. hes chomping at the bit to get his truck done. his truck is the blue one. its a 76, hes the third owner, our dad was the second. its a 350/350 has like 70,000 orig. miles. it has the original hawaii blue two tone paint, less the punisher skull he painted on the hood, when he was bored before he left lol. the wheels are very old hurricanes, they were on the truck when my dad bought it from the original owners wife after he died decades ago. he plans to go back to original paint with the exception of the roof, he wants to paint the darker of the two blues instead of the lighter. and put a pretty low static drop on it.

the other truck is my 86, bought it rust free(big deal in WI) for $250 with a "blown head gasket" turned out to be a very badly hatched motor. it was a 305/700r4, now a 350/700r5 with a stage 2 shift kit. i plan to bag it with a circular notch for drivability, and to be able to tow a car trailer still. i am swithing over to square fenders, hood, and trim. and thinking about painting it spring green and white, we are both looking at doing a 6.0/t-56 transplants and running 18" wheels for good rim to tire ratio.

sorry for the novel but i/we are pretty new here and wanted to give you guys some back ground.
