Well my truck is coming along slowly. I just decided to replace the front of the floors, they were not all that bad but it was bothering me.

I had thoughts of replacing my floor pan towards the front. They had some rust, but it was not all the way through the floor. So I had them sand blasted. They were slightly pitted, but since I'm planning on putting DynoMat over the top, no one would ever see it.

Thanks Cowboy! The doors were put on yesterday and the front clip should be going on today.

Here's a few more picture of the progress. The doors have been hung and the passenger side fender is on. He also started to color sand the cab for polishing.

Re: 58 GMC Project

Hey CAL, the project is comin along real good. I love that color, it has a pop to it, good choice. It's deffinitely gonna look good sitting at a show. This is just my opinion, but the only thing to really give it that look....is some 20s. Centerline's making some good lookin wheels now. Seeing how much work you have into it, you might even talk to some billet companies about sponsoring. Truck looks awesome though, can't wait to see more progress!!

Re: 58 GMC Project

Thanks Project SIKty-5! I value your opinion on the wheels. I have 20's in the rear and 18's up front. I gave a lot of thought on what style and size of wheels to use. I personally like the American Torque Thrusters II wheels and for the size I like the look of larger wheels in the rear and smaller up front.

Re: 58 GMC Project

gl with getting the grill in, I know on mine I have to install the grill then slide the fenders in around it otherwise it wont work well. I guess on these trucks all of them have their own order of assembly right ?
