Re: Help me Rock My Ride and possibly win $500 for your truck...

Personally, if I was 72 Chevy Suburban, if I didn't get some immediate answers, I'd be going to the local news, they LOVE crap like this.

WOW! I had to check that out. There really is no link to the burb. WTF happened?

Does anyone live near the shop? If so, someone drive by and see if you can see the burb in the parking lot.... really.. someone do it.. go see

So, who won the $500 for voting? I wonder if it was anyone on the site.

I’m not sure if the radio station is still there..... I clicked on the link in the very first post and didn't get anything. Then I deleted all the extra stuff down to the radio station address and nothing. Hmmm this may answer our questions.

Question Re: Help me Rock My Ride and possibly win $500 for your truck...

Just checked their web site, and this was all I could find about your Burb! Is that it in the background behind the car? Looks like it was taken sometime ago?

http://www.purerock96.com/

is the new link for the radio station.

I hope the suburban gets done. It will be a nightmare to get back if the shop goes out of business... I hope someone is getting some answers

Question Re: Help me Rock My Ride and possibly win $500 for your truck...

Just tried to call Street Lethal, the people doing the work to see if there was any kind of update? They said to call back Monday, 11/30/09. Maybe if we swamp them with calls, they'll get hot? Their # is 513-217-6756.

Re: Help me Rock My Ride and possibly win $500 for your truck...

Since 72 Chevy Suburban hasn't been on the board for a while I tried PM'ing him to see how things were going. I was hoping the PM would show up in his regular e-mail and he would know we are all wondering about the progress of his burb. Unfortunately his PM box is full. Hopefully he comes back onto the board before long and lets us know what is going on.

Re: Help me Rock My Ride and possibly win $500 for your truck...

Dudes!! I am so sorry, I didn't see any notifications on this thread so I didn't know that you guys were inquiring. I humbly apologize for not checking in anyway. The situation has gone from bad to worse, unfortunately, but the Radio Station is doing their best to make good on the deal for me. They have agreed to redo my '68 Catalina Convertible at a shop of my choice and currently I am waiting to get it in there. I don't fault them a bit.

The Radio Station attempted to get the truck back earlier this year, but the shop refuses to release it. I think that they know there will be bigger issues when I get a pile of parts back, with many pieces missing. I can't go into a lot of detail, but as of now, there is a court case on this matter and I am waiting for a court date. I try to keep in mind that the shop reads this board and follows this thread.

The whole thing has made me sick and my understanding is that the truck has been sitting in pieces behind their shop since mid-September. I will keep you guys updated when I learn more. Also, my email address is GTOJohn@woh.rr.com if you guys need to slap me upside the head to get me to respond.

Thanks for all of the well wishes.

Sounds like its time to change the signature from getting rocked to getting well its the same number of letters and you only have to change 2 of them.

LOL! You've got that right... If this is winning, I don't want to win again! A lot of these contests are successful in other areas. There are bad eggs everywhere in life and you can't account for that.

Glad to see the Radio Station is trying to make good for you, let us know how the car turns out.

You should change your signature from "Getting Rocked" to "Got Socked... in da nuts!"

Then you think they would realize just how bad this situation looks to us. I'm simply amazed that you're having to take them to court just to get the truck back!!!!

They're only a few months shy of having had your ride for damn near 2 years and all they've managed to do is pull it apart and shove it out back?

They're very very lucky they didn't have my truck. I would have shown up with a wrecker and a police officer.

Man, that Burb was awesome!! I hope you get it back!

But lets see here, how many members do we have on this site? And I wonder how many online directories like google maps etc they are listed on? And I'll bet every one of those sites has a place where we can leave a nice "Review" of the shop, and how they treated our bro!

And every time someone looks up their phone/address on google or whatever other site, it has those reviews listed right below it. And if they are reading this site, maybe it will give them something to think about.

Just a thought
