Re: Die-cast 67-72

COOL!The model doesn`t state a model year on the box.Made it easy for Johnny Lightning.I noticed AMT didn`t put model years on any of it`s Blazer or Jimmy kits.I think JL should have put chrome reverses on the Blazer, though.I think they got cheap on the wheels and tires. They could have used what they put on the dark red one with gold wheels.
It`s funny, between this model kit and now the JL replica, that accessory graphics kit will become known as the rare Boondocker option.I predict that AMT/Ertl will re-issue the kit next. They`ve already made the crossover.

One problem with that Tim. AMT is not producing any new kits at the moment. The parent company is trying to sell AMT/ERTL and are just burning off inventory...

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Went over to a collectible shop in Redwood City today and found both Von Dutch Cheyenne's and the 5 Deep set with the yellow and white Cheyenne. Best part was walking out with change from a $20 on them.

Now if I can just find the 5 Deep set with the flamed black one

Tim, there were only two of the 72 Cheyenne. Black and Gray. They also put out two of the 1953 model. One was Black/Gray and the other was rust/red.

Tim. They made 6 of the Cheyennes in 1:64 scale. Here's a pic of some I modified. Yeah, the JL Boondocker is the best one yet.

I own an Aftermarket wheel and tire shop and performance. One of my vendors gave me the mini wheels for display. I thought the made a nice touch to my collection so I took them home. The perks of being the boss.

icesickl, Yikes!

Here's some new diecast to look for. I found a couple from this series (not the blazer) at a kaybee store last week. Nothing on ebay yet. They look very cool.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Here's a diecast for the mid-70s guys. I found these at WalMart today.
Matchbox '75 Chevy Stepside. I also found some of the Hot Wheels purple '62 Chevy Fleetside with surfboard. Cool additions to the collection. The 75 color is a little lighter in color as the upper right corner of the card with metalflake.
