Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

Personally, I wouldnt touch the exterior of the black and grey one. Just a dropmember and a flip with the 22s would be a real eye catcher and a fun driver.

EDIT: OK, maybe change the mirrors.....

what wheel combo is on it? offset on the rear? And does it tuck well in the rear without having to shorten the axle?

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

Update on my '83 4x4 shorty. Took off topper. Installed new 2.5 dual magnflow exhaust and 4 inch stainless steel tips. Swapped out my tan silverado interior for some near flawless interior parts that I found in a local junk yard on an '84 diesel. The interior now has all black panels, kick boards, seat belts, crack free dash, trim and new header with visors. Kenwood CD player. Rockford dash speakers. Kicker truck riders and Rockford Amp. Dressed up the engine. Replaced every possible seal and gasket, u-joints, brakes. Did a major tune-up and gear/fluid change. Edenbroack intake and Edenbrack 4Brl carb. TV cable bracket. It purrrrrrs now. I added small tach. Starting to work on the exterior now. Added GTO headlight covers, bow-tie mudflaps, installing a roll up tonneu cover this weekend that I got dirt cheap. Tinting the windows, adding rubber black flooring, black seat cover (or possible seat swap for one with fold down center cons.) This spring I'm going to put some roll on or spray on boxliner when it warms up. Rubberizing the under carriage also. Gonna hunt with this thing next deer season and then new two tone white /yellow coming next spring. I love working on this thing!! Nearly 2K invested already in the last month! BTW, It has locking differentials and in plowed like a mule in the deep snow during last weeks blizzard!

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

my 85 c10 solid truck. i just started the build a week or 2 ago. got some body work done and alot of the motor parts in. i am dropping a long rod 406 in with a 700r4. 342 gears maybe 373 ( mainly a driver truck with a lil attitude) the cam is a lunati custom grind. .501 intake and .522 exaust lift with 103 centerline. the outragous duration and it should have an idle that compares to the mother thumper. i am gonna shoot it in black primer for now and figure the paint out as i get to that point.
