Re: 56 Chev Garage build
Today cut out the inside fender wheels to clear MK II A Arms and took all that crappy tar stuff that the factory gets crazy with! All that is left is to weld up unessary holes and a little body work

Re: 56 Chev Garage build
Yes,after I paint the floor boards and firewall with white rustoleum easy to see for us old farts when trying to do wiring job. I am going to roll the paint on only because who ever looks under the carpet and it will be a smoother surface for deadnor to stick. Oh by the way left the pmel world at Edwards now back on the Raptor.

Re: 56 Chev Garage build
I decided to fab up a brake cable today with original cable and a sleeve that I had laying around from my Model A Ford that I sold. I also had to fab brakets to mount the 56 Chevy handle. I cut the handle down and welded back up because I did not like the lenght of original and the way it sticks down in the Cab. Here are some pics.

Re: 56 Chev Garage build
Nice work. That steering wheel looks right at home in your truck. Wish I had the $$$ to buy one of those "shrunken" wheels for my truck but priorities are elsewhere for now.
I did something similar to your emergency brake setup using cables from Control Cables. I used part of the original rod and brought the cable up through the original hole. I made the cable holder out of a piece of pipe cut at an angle. It works good. |
