You can easily get 1" body drop on these trucks by dropping the body mounts an inch. I should'nt say easy, because those body mounts are a major pita to get off because of the rivets holding them on. Not to mention the other stuff that gets affected by body dropping an inch. The only thing I see bolt on about it is new body mounts that actually bolt on. I assume the bed will have some bolt on mounts too? Interested to see what he comes up with for a true bolt on. It wont be more than 1" though, unless you want to raise the floor.

I knew I read that somewhere. I was starting to think I dreamed it up or something. Yes, I dream about this crap.

Here is PB's post on this from the other thread...

"This truck will see the installation of a couple more of our new products we haven't released yet. We will be finalizing our hood hinges, and the bolt-on body drop. I don't want to spill all the beans on the body drop kit... Obvious items will be the new bolt-on cab mounts that replace the steel units riveted to the chassis. I dont have any pic's for the rear because me and Nate are still working on brackets and design. As I get parts in (hopefully soon), I will post them up.

I finsihed installing the sway bar. I had to cut 1/4'' plate in order to fill some holes under the frame and weld them in to have a proper installation. Welding Overhead Sucks!

I also installed the steering joints and I didnt use all the parts but Im waiting on a response from Nate to see if this is proper or do I need to use DD joint and shaft heim joint aswell.

I think Im going to start on installing my brake pedal assembly. Im little iffy about it just because of the space that is left between from the trans to assembly is real tight and might require major exaust modifacation. We'll See!

Hey C10 Why did you have to weld up some holes? Did you use one of the stock holes and drill for the other? I didn't like how close the sway bar was to my bags and A-arms so i went and put longer bolts in with a spacer (on my end links) to bring the sway bar up higher. Thanks for the pic's it's been a big help for me. Yours is coming out great nice work!

There was one hole on each side that was falling in the middle of the hold bracket hole, so I filled it in aswell as some oval holes that were close by. Then I marked the hole locations and drilled.

I got the carry bearing crossmember and it was a b****, but some how it always works out. I also semi installed the hydro booster on to the frame mounted brake assembly and it's not going to work.

I might be able to install an indash brake assembly but im afraid the hydro booster is going to be loud inside the cab.

I have a hydro boost unit here too. Before I bought it I had plans to move the brakes under the dash. A neighbor of mine pointed out how uncomfortable it would be if one of the hydro lines ever broke or leaked in the cab. Hot ps fluid spraying all over your legs didn't sound good to me. But even if that wasn't a worry I didn't like the idea of routing the ps lines and the brake lines into the cab, just too much stuff. For now I'm still running my vacuum booster but I will eventually put the hydro on the firewall. Here is the advice I got from Hydratech, "I fully understand the shaved firewall look, though our direct bolt in systems for the '73-'87 GM C/K series is damned good looking (and would actually compliment your high tech looking engine compartment)." Their in favor of use showing off the goods they sell. And since I can't shave the steering column off the firewall I've made piece with keeping the brakes there too.

I dont think it would look bad but I think it's to close to the engine and then it looks really long.

Im going to run inner lower link bars that attach right to the lower part of the dif bracket and inner frame rails. Im just waiting for Nate to send me some parts to complete set up.
