A pic of some of the parts. Brackets, bushings, dual viair 444 compressors, carrier bearing, tank, avs 9 switch box smc valves new body mounts.
Next thing that was bugging me was how I wanted to run the airline to the front. I didnt want to run the dot line along the inside of the frame because it would be a pain in the ass if I ever had to change a line on the side of the road. I didnt want to run it along the outside of them frame because the exhaust runs on the frame. I thought about stainless or copper line and didnt want to do them either really. We were talking about it at work and some joked about making them out of steel pipe. Haha I took that joke serious and did it. they are made from 3/8 pipe and i forgot the wall size but its pretty thick stuff. All bends were done with the sand and torch again and each side I built hangers and with 3 bolts it can be removed. At the ends i matched up threaded pipe and welded it on and pressure tested it. At those ends i used couplers with push to connect fittings for the dot line. I know some people may not like it but hey im gonna run with it..

Next thing I did was reinstall the motor and hang the exhaust. I will get more exhaust pics for you guys this week. I usually am not a fan of glass packs but she sounds good and isn't to loud! doesn't even really sound like glasspacks so they are staying to save on budget.
steering linkage all cleaned up all new hoses and lines Lifted up. Lifts high. I do wish the frame layed out lower tho. turn downs so the exhaust isn't aimed at my tires and bags

oh I trust it. ran it on my datsun and running it on the back of this car and between the steal lines and the front bags (only like 10inches) i just didnt trust it along the exhaust. the only way i would of would to been to clamp it every 6-12 inches and that would be a pain in the ass to change on the side of the road

Next I needed shocks. The frame lifts high so to measure for shocks on the front I marked and the lower A-arm about where I wanted to mount it and got a reference point to measure between. With the travel I needed I just got on monroes list of shocks p/n and specs and looked through shocks until I found some that were the style, travel and and were rated for a vehicle close to Birdie in weight. I did the fronts out of scrap 1/4in angle iron and scrap 1/4in plate.
Sorry I didn't get more pics during the build!! Its hard to see in the pics but there are two gussets. one from the tower to the frame and one on the bottom side of the top tab and the tower itself. Should be super strong.

The rear shocks I was pretty limited on with the lift I get from the re7s on the links. I decided to just put them off the pocket and to the link. I measured and searched for which shock I wanted the same way as the front.
all tabs cut from 1/4in plate aswell mock up here you can see how the exhaust used to aim at the tire and bag hope yall enjoy. this about catches me up to where I am currently. Should be picking up the 700r4 this week and then progress will continue and I will start taking more pics for you guys.

I don't see how I could and not limit travel one way or the other. I know a lot of people leave them. Ill measure the amount of travel it would be next time I go to the shop.

I installed stock application shocks on my 60 and the shocks do not seem to limit travel. They may not be at the best angle when laid out. But I figured shocks don't really matter then

updated pic of rear shock and exhaust hanger and dump few shots and parts So plan. get trans crossmember built and get the trans installed. get the tv cable brackets fabbed and good to go. then its time to put the body back on. hell ya

Well made some progress lastnight. I modified the carb and a TV cable bracket from a 90s 1500 to make the carb and tv cable have all the correct geometry. I used info from this site. Alot of info on here.

Cut off the lower tab/lever whatever. next I made a template and then cut out the new tab how I wanted it. I know this system looks crude but hey it worked. It worked really well actually. Had all markings on the paper. Made sure the base was level to the reference point we measured from and got the paper 180 degree mark running perfect with the base. the small hole in the paper is at the 23 degree mark at 1.1 inches down from the pivot point. Hole drilled and tab tacked on all welded and cleaned up. The stud was from the 90's 1500 as well. the stud and nut was hitting on the intake manifold so I cut it and just welded it on the back. I will get some more pics tonight of how I did the bracket to hold the cable because I skipped a few steps and need more pics. Thanks guys!

Well today I went and built the tranny crossmember. I ended up using the factory brackets off the frame and got it to work.
First I pulled a piece of 1.5 out of the scrap and to bolt it in the brackets i just drilled holes and then built some small spacers to fill the gap. Welded the spacers Cut the surface for the mount Welded up with a couple gussets In place I wasnt feeling it tonight. I didnt even want to go work on the car at all. I will take this as a small accomplishment and at least I didnt sit on the couch all day.

Almost forgot to show how I mounted the tv cable. Started off with a factory 90s bracket and cut it
The threads on the intake and on the factory bracket put it inline with the carb. It was not tall enough so measured and cut a spacer. used the part of the bracket the would bolt to the intake manifold and cut the other piece out of scrap I know that back sides ugly And the side view where you could barely see with the breather on. Im happy with it.

Last night I got the trans install all done minus the transmount needs a nut and I need the 3 torque convertor bolts. I cut the fenderwells where the shocls SHOULD come through lol We shall see. I need to throw the starter on. And throw the body back on. Im hoping seeing it as a car again will motivate me. Pics to follow gentlemen.
