Re: project: 3/4 ton dropped

so this is what will probibly happen down the road.... i want it a two tone med blue with silver stripe on the side. im gonna put some sort of pinstripe inbetween the 2 colors so you dont see the paint line. Flush rear window(no slider) and full peice side windows. 30% tint. 2in steel cowl induction hood. White side markers and led taillights conversion. tint taillights. Jeep wrangler headlights with HID conversion. Rollpan in rear and chrome bumper in front. original grille and other front end peices. chrome ultra t6 wheels: 20x9 in front and 20x10in back. bucket seats from a newer silverado. grey interior. frame blasted and powdercoated satin black. new bushings everywhere. blazer gas tank located in back. dual 2.5in back with flowmaster super 44's. remove emisions junk from 454. thats all i can think of for now, and it might change a bit down the road.

Re: project: 3/4 ton dropped

Looks good! I am doing the same thing with my 75 C20. Quick question about your front clearances. How far is your crossmember and lower control arms from the ground? Do your tires hit the fenderwells? Thanks!!

yes the tires hit the inner fenders, but thats no problem, i'm getting 20's soon. the crossmember is 9in off the ground, and the bottom of the a-arm is at 6.5in from the ground.

Re: project: 3/4 ton dropped

Very nice......doing something simular with my crew cab 1 ton. Looks like you got a bit lower on the front than I did though. My A arms are not quite level on the bottom. Keep up the great work, and staying tuned to progress.

Re: project: 3/4 ton dropped

Sounds like you have some good plans for your truck. My 1st truck was a 76 GMC 3/4 Sierra Grande. That was back in high school. Lowering a 3/4 is deffinately differant and unique. Good luck with you build.

Re: project: 3/4 ton dropped

UPDATE: went to put the c-notches in a few days ago, and found out the one side was wrong. their was no room for the shock. i emailed the company, and they never got back to me, so i just said to heck with it, and i cut it off and made it work. so tonight i got the frame cut and both notches put in. tommarow the bed should be on, and i'll be able to see the actual drop.(i measured from wheelwell down to the ground before lowering.
