Here is a few pics of the door, fenders and core support.
I can get additional pics of anything else you'd like to see.

Those look good. No rust through anywhere? Sorry I couldn't talk yesterday. Were moving shops today so I'm slammed. I'll call as soon as I get a few

No rust through anywhere. The surface rust area on the door is small and will be gone with sanding. Bottom of the door is solid too. No problem on the phone call. We can catch up when you get a chance. I realize RenoKeene is closer to you so dont feel obligated (not that you should) to get this truck I just thought Id give you an option.

You have a second door also correct? Who did the rust repair on the cab? What's the worksmanship look like? Any pics of the metal repairs? Sorry for all the questions, 20 hours each way is a long drive! Haha!

I have a friend that does a few trucks a year. Hes retired from the AF as a engine test cell mechanic. He has a shop and does automotive work out of it. He does 1 or 2 trucks a year on top of his normal mechanical work.
Ill get pics under neath, inside and outside of this cab for you. Heres a truck he did 5 years ago thats in his shop for storage while a customer had some work done at his house. He puts out some nice trucks and I think he does things correct (but im no body guy). Ill post the additional pics tonight after work.

Here are a few pics of the cab areas that were fixed!
He welded in a flat piece to keep things from possibly falling down in there again.

Re: WTB: Rust Free Cab/Doors and SWB chassis

I see there is a small issue with the rear of the d/S by the rear area where the floor goes out to the rocker. It looks like the patch panel was a little too close to the rocker covering the channel the wiring runs in. Im sure you can see it in the last pic.

Re: WTB: Rust Free Cab/Doors and SWB chassis

Hey Bud, thanks for the pics. I think Im going to keep looking for the time being. I think what you have looks pretty good but not quite what Im after. And the 40 hours of driving is the killer. Thanks again for your time my friend.

Re: WTB: Rust Free Cab/Doors and SWB chassis

I have a '68 short frame in good condition that I'm letting go. I'll post pics when I get off work. $350. it has a step bed on it with rotten wood. do what you want with that. will need to be trailer-ed because I pulled the suspension off.

Re: WTB: Rust Free Cab/Doors and SWB chassis

I have a 69 short cab & frame. was a factory black cst truck. it was totally disassembled and sat in a body shop for about 10 years. the roof and cowl look good .the floor has some fiberglass resin at the bottom of the kick panels and a few other spots.the cab supports have some rust in them too. the frame has been cleaned and painted, the front end has been rebuilt. $900 on the bare cab and rolling frame. I also have the short fleet bed and front sheetmetal . you can pm me if your interested. Woody
