Sometimes, you need to evaluate a situation based upon the current circumstances surrounding the author.

If someone is writing to his or her grandmother, vs. a situation in which Grandma has just died.

"Let's eat, Grandma!", vs. "Let's eat Grandma!".

If you're a PETA member, the statement "Stop clubbing baby seals" is a clear admonition to potential seal-killers.

However, the same statement means something far different if written, "Stop clubbing, baby seals". Especially if you
are writing to a homicidal seal. Or to a dancing seal that stays out to(o) late every night.

I love regional differences in dialect. Written or spoken.

I have a problem with ignorance....Generally, it makes me sad for the ignorant.

However, I actually *hate* people that disrespect others.
For any reason.
