5x5, 5x4.75 is the smaller vehicles like the camaro's and chevelle's I believe.

I'm also about do a 5 lug disc brake swap on my 70 thanks for the info for installing it man! Where did you get all your stuff from to do the swap just curious?

And the axle shaft kit off summit (MAKE SURE YOU OR DER THE 70RACK KIT) http://m.summitracing.com/parts/clp-70rack

Just remember when replacing the rear axle shafts, do one at a time or the spider gears will all fall out and that's not something you wanna deal with.

On the axle kit from summit what all does it come with? I looked couldn't find what all came in kit, I'm assuming it's just axles so I will prob have to buy the rotors/drums brake hardware seperate.

It comes with axle shafts, drums and cover gasket. No need to mess with the brake lines, it doesn't effect them.

So I finally broke down and bought the bolt in c-notch. Had time this past weekend to go ahead and install it. Here's a few pics..

As far as removing the bed, it's as simple as removing the 08 carriage bolt and disconnecting the wiring harness located inside the driver side frame (closest to the rear).

I'll elaborate here.. Support the frame in front of and behind where you will be cutting. First you want to make a template using the widest portion of the actual notch (if you scribe the inside of the notch, your cut will not be big enough). Since the notch (this specific one) can only go in one place (because of the bend in the frame AND the notch), mock it up and figure out where the outsides of the notch will go. Place your template on there or scribe it on there. After this is done remember to drill out the corners of the cuts to prevent and possible cracking in the future. I started my cuts with a buck-eye (side grinder, angle grinder) and then finished them with the sawzall. Try to cut a 90 on the bottom portion of the frame. After the cut, try the notch to see how it fits. Trim as needed. Take a couple of clamps and hold the notch in place so you can center punch and pre-drill all of your holes. Bottom bolts should be put in first (at least 2). Attach all your nuts and bolts. The front side of the bump stop perch will need to be trimmed off (for my year model anyway). Install your after market bump stops and that's pretty much about it. Drive it around a little bit and make sure everything is all good and you're done.

This was the same afternoon after I installed the c notch. My first cruise-in.

My brother finally decided he wanted an old school too. We drove 3 1/2 hours to get this 1975 Lincoln Continental.

Where was the cruise in ,trying to figure out by the pics from my memories of Cruisin The Coast ,didnt go the last couple years .Truck looks great too.

Been a while since I've been on here..

A few days ago I decided to go ahead and tackle lowering the rest of the front end. I originally bought 2" lowering springs from DJM. I installed one side and the stance didn't change. I forgot to consider the age and wear of the factory springs. So instead of shipping 2" springs off and trying to figure out if a 3" or 4" lowering spring would be the right one, I just cut a whole coil off the factory springs. Now, from the beginning I had been against cutting coils. Heard that it makes the ride terrible. So I did my research and figured out what a 2" would need out of the coil. Conscious said that 1 whole coil would be 2". So I cut 1 1/2 coil to hide a little more fender gap. Once I re-installed the cut coil I remeasured the fender/ground measurement. It was approx. 3" lower. It looks good, but in all reality, too much coil was cut.

I love the white bumper, lots of character. also, the color it bad a. and for aftermarket wheels, those are pretty cool.

Nice build, I really like the stance especially how the front tire is tucked slightly in the fender well and the same with the rear,but less than the front the slight rake looks great, that's how a truck should set to me, I don`t personaly like a Flat stance, ya know

New wheels are a big improvement also!
