The Ford is nice, and If you have been around Ford ownres they are just as stupid loyal as Chevy owners, Find the right FoMoCo fan, and if you have the right truck, it will bring as much as a Chevy, and that looks like the right truck. I still prefer Chevy's but know guys that would not own one, Remember production #'s somebodys been buying those Fords.

You guys do realize that the truck CG is talking about trading is a LWB, don't you? I wasn't trying to turn this into a Ford vs Chevy debate. I'm simply saying that if you look at ebay, Hemmings, car shows, swap meets - whatever, those trucks are just not worth what these are. Ford owners are loyal, as are a lot GM owners. Tim you may be right, those may be the most disireable Ford fleets, but as most Fords, they don't stack up in value compared to the Chevys.
Skirtpat, quit watching Ford commercials.  Its true, Ford is the best selling brand. Ford sells more than Chevy. Ford also sells more than GMC. Chevy/GMC outsells Ford by a mile every year it in fullsize light pickup sales. GM has 2 brands and they compete on their own lots, so Ford gets to say we have best selling truck for the last 30 years. Woopee!! You have to have something to be proud of!

That must have been an interesting conversion - it's not like you can just cut the frame and put another bed on it. That would have been a lot of work. But I am on the "don't do it" side - I have had old F&%rds and they just aren't the same.

I have a soft spot for the old Ford unibody trucks..I had a chopped 62 that I wish I had back again. Also use to see a super rare unibody with the wrap around back glass here in town, they didn't make many of those!

Well we just had the long talk about our trucks, and Ive decided to keep my K20. I told myself in my head I could trade no problem. But in the end as much as I love that little unibody I love my truck more. It will do pretty much anything I ask it to do, and with just a little more cosmetic change its going to be right where I want her.
All your input is appreciated. It helps to look at a bigger picture sometimes. And heck, Ill have the 41 Caddy to play with anyway to quench my old car thirst.
