Sometimes the small cap distributor cap is kind of tricky to get seated on the distributor correctly. Are you sure it is seated correctly? Look at where the cap goes over the connectors on the side of the dizzy, you will see where the cap is supposed to seat.It could be cockeyed just enough for the roter not to contact the cap. Maybe the new ignition module is defective. I would start swapping in the old components one at a time checking for spark after each replacement.
