Re: The 255/70/15 Database

Mmmmmm... New tires.....

Bye-bye farm-truck!

It was pouring rain outside, so the the first tire got mounted up in the shop!

Later on it quit raining so we could get some pics out in the evening sun.

Getting "artsy". LOL

As you can see, this truck was a North Dakota farm truck in a previous life, so it's got some bumps and bruises. None of that is getting fixed as it tells the story of where this truck has been for the past 48 years!

Grear choice for rims, tires and hubcaps. The truck wears them well..

Re: The 255/70/15 Database

The new rally and coopers look so much better than the narrow OE dog dish wheel and tire combo I took off. Now that it has power steering, the wide tires were a possible upgrade. I think my kids are ready to get their license so they can start driving it more.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that these shops can't charge a fair price for mount and balance but it's just like everything else I suppose. Think about that 2.99 glass of iced tea we get at the restaurant. It's just something they do but it's absolute highway robbery.

Even at 100 dollars for mount and balance, I still come away saving money buying all 4 tires online rather than paying the full markup price at these local tire shops.

They think they're getting one over on me by charging so much for mount/balance but I'm still smiling all the way to the bank!

Re: The 255/70/15 Database

I have cooper cobras on mine found them locally. They are a good tire but are a bit noisy on certain roads.
