Demand It

I'd demand e-bay stands behind you, after all what did you do wrong? NOTHING! You just bid like everbody else, shouldn't matter if it's your first time or not.
For 1160.00 you got a reasonable deal, for 15,000.00 the choice is yours.
Good luck, looks like a nice blazer.

Definately DO NOT let him change the price after the auction is over! I just rescently sold my Harley on E-bay and I made Damn sure my add was correct and in order before I posted it. If he was honest and cared very much he would have done the same.
I would pass on the deal he is outside the contract set up by E-bay and obviously morally questionable. My thoughts would be if he's trying to screw you on the price after the bidding was over why would you belive that the description that he posted is true and accurate?
Take my advise and walk on this one......Give your money to someone who is honest with you and deserves it.
BTW until your 18 you can't be held liable to any contract .....at least here in Idaho. May be different if you used your parents E-bay account though.
Anyhow now that my ranting and raving are done keep us informed of what is going on with the deal and by all means if you need help finding a Blazer let me know and I'll keep my eyes open for ya.....good luck!

The link that 2wdBlazer posted is a lot better than e-bay. Also, they pop up on dealsonwheels.com and bargaintrader.com once in a while.

YIKES 15 years old and 15000. DONT WRECK THAT MAN!!!! I'm with 2wdblazer.....That sounds like alot of money...then what did you say, 11K or so? Even around there....better be real clean. Mine looks about the same, minus the REAL nice paint.... I looked FAR and WIDE for 6 Months, only to think i'd have to setle on a 2nd gen. Then finally around my 17 birthday, with my own money, i found the gem i was lookin for right under my nose. And for 4,600 at that. If i round up, maybe i have the truck of my dreams after getting it, and some work, for $6000? Still have it over a year later.
Took me about 6 months (and 3 tickets)to finally start driving it like what IT IS, a 71 TRUCK. Not a convertible-muscle-truck(even though that's what they are!) Thats why i say be carefull and dont wreck something that nice, and esp. something worth that much bank $$$ !

Besides all ^that^ BS , ENJOY IT !!!!

Hey guy,
I talked with the seller a few times myself, he is NOT a first time E-Bayer. He is a automobile broker who purchased the blazer from a private party and repainted it.

Sounds like a scam artist to me. I would definately report him to E-bay. I think he saw a young, inexperienced buyer the thought he could push around. I'm sure that he inflated the price to $19,000 so you would feel comfortable paying $15,000. He has a legally binding contract to sell the vehicle at the auction price through e-bay. Don't pay a penny more. Walk away and report him!
